.
i dislike buying shoes cos i have huge leggy. Size 8. PERIOD
so my preferred shoes will be my billabong and my hippo blue heee. damn comforty then somemore slip on then i will fly!
well, but i cant wear flip flop for every occasion
so recently i bought 3 pairs of “proper” shoes at 1 go. LOL. 2 pairs are “you ask for pain” kind of shoes. LOL.
i wanted to break this belief so i wore the first pair that day… i asked for tips to minimize the pain level.
you know what? my aunt asks me to use those kind of transparent scotch tape! i was like. OMG, where got people use this. But I got no choice at that moment cos i have no handiplaster at home so i did as told.
I’m glad i made the decision. though it was still painful sia, but my leggy didn’t bleed at least.
i called this “shoes-bite-leggy” syndrome, i’ve always avoided buying and wearing shoes partly due to this not so pleasant experience.i smsed my good fren who’s more experienced than me in this aspect since she can buy 7 pairs within 1 shopping trip i think. i got a real corny reply:
“xxx, how to prevent “shoes-bite-leggy” syndrome”
“buy softer shoes”
…. ….
my that pair of shoe was the softest i have.
anyhow, today i ask my cousin if she faced the same problem as me or m i the only one. apparently, she said she faced the same challenge as well.
if your leggy isn’t used to wearing covered shoes, the skin will be worn so the best way is to wear them more often so that ya leggy once used to the idea will be comforty
her repy makes me think of sth so apt
“in life, when we enter the discomfort zone, it is sometimes frustrating, confusing or even painful but we can always think of solution to counter the discomfort level, it might not go away instantly but it will subsize and we can move on with where we want to head!”
well, wearing covered shoe is important for me due to nature of what i’m working so it serves a meaningful purpose, i will continue to wear them instead of giving the shoes up!
“aL, why u like to run? don’t you feel out of breathe, like dying”
aL:” runners do feel out of breathe as well, but we know how to breathe correctly and most importantly we focus on what keeps us running, not what stops us”
i’ve signed up for 3 runs
Shape Run
Great Eastern Women Run
Standard Chartered Marathon
all 10KM
I’ll see u there at the finishing line!
Drop me a msg if you are going.
