i was talking to my bear while walking to the supermarket to get some stuff.
i chanced upon this word on a guy’s shirt.
it was the word G O A L then my eyes suddenly brightened up! G OAL!
OAL is my name initial Ong Ai Ling. in the past, i only know that my name can be found in the dictionary. ailing=sick it has some not so nice meaning…
As my life revolves around young kids and adults so i changed my initial aL to stand for always Lovely… then creative kids change them to always Lame, always Lazy, always Late… everything else but always Lovely LOL….
Nevertheless, yesterday experience was great! G.OAL = Go! OAL, Great! OAL, Good! OAL, Genius! OAL, Generous! OAL, Grit!OAL, Guts! OAL, Gee!OAL it’s such wonderful meaning behind my name! I can’t put Girly! OAL cos i’m the opposite if you personally know me! heee…
I’ve realized my meaning, haven’t you?

the world’s so small that i met 2 juniors frm my sec sch …
it was meant to be a discussion between me and my “client” haha. on conceptualizing her theme for her website…
it was crazy time talking to my 2 crazy juniors! haha, but i must say despite the “gap”, we hit off quite well, isn’t it? crazy girls? LOL
it’s so important to know all kinds of people as i shared my experience with my 2 “cute” juniors. i was a different person when i was in sec sch – much of an introvert but i was the class chairperson a while hee. then in jc, i open up my social circles a little more, i know of people of different frequencies. Uni time was fun time, i was basically into making friends haha, i love sitting in NUS engineering canteen talking to friends while downing my favourite chicky chop! yum!
it’s good time! Friends are so important! Relationship building is real important.
Be Sincere, Be yourself are the reasons I can make many friends, some are real GOOD people I met.
Cheers to our frenship!

today is the day.
i finally forced myself to the dentist “willingly” due to this thing called PAIN.
definition
PAIN, a feeling of discomfort, depending on the intensity causes misery. if u still don’t know how pain feels like. do this : pinch your leg real hard…
Ouch!
I have this pain since Sunday. I thought PAIN will leave me alone but i guess it simply loves me so much that he doesn’t bear to go until…….. the dentist pushes in the needle into the gums…. ouch ouch!
the temporary end was yet another beginning … the medication effects went off within 30 minutes, i was left to manage PAIN for close to 2 hours. PAIN KILLER.
PAIN helps us to become better person, I’ve decided to take real care of my tooths from now on… I hate going to the dentist!
No wonder they always say ” no pain, no gain ”
I gain more wisdom in this incident. Ouch!!

Recently, I had the honour to be involved in a school project that prepares Primary Six Students for their upcoming Primary Six Leaving Examination (PSLE). This exam will decide which schools they will be posted to in the next phase of their education journey.
These group of students are bright kids but not equipped with the right mindset and strategies to take on Mathematics at this moment. They are a real social lot, most are very outspoken be it time of learning or training … tsktsk…. I had to pause for almost a minute before all realize that the classroom turned real quiet…
Well that day, I was training them some of the basic skills needed for upcoming challenging questions. I predicted that some of them will find the questions too easy and might just simply “shut off” their attention. This is definitely something which must be managed.
I told them a story about 2 brothers who are both keen in joining the top matial art school in town. these 2 brothers are of totally contrasting mindsets….
the story behind this story is to highlight to them about the importance of mastering of the basic skills as these are the foundation we build to move forward.
When I told the story, the initially noisy class turned real quiet, everyone’s eyes were on me so attentive, so keen to find out more…… it was amazing…. how everyone gives me their attention for 5 minutes to complete reading…
No wonder the old folks like to tell tales and stories to the young ones….
I’ve always love reading those short inspirational stories, stories that have morals… so i decided to put all the collection in my blog ….

i was away in Msia for the last couple of days. was back for my uncle’s wedding.
i havent been back for the last 7-8 years; everything still remains much the same… familiar faces in the “kampong” (village), the way of thinking is very much the same as well…
over in the village. the pace of life is much slower, they travelled around mostly by motorcycles, sometimes by cars. i hardly see any huge cars around, in fact when i went to the so called town central, most of the vehicles there are of the small scale kind. one thing which they enjoy over there which i don’t really experience in Singapore is the close knitted relationship between the neighbours… everyone was invited to come by for the buffet and even asked to take home food since there were so much left over… everyone knows everyone else …
relationship is what living in the planet is all about… our relationship with the environment, with our loved ones, friends, working partners…..
my big uncle who is having his own biz told me that in Msia 1+1=3 ….. it sets me thinking real hard… “flexibility” in all aspects of handling deals is the main thing…. tsk tsk
i had my fair fresh share of durians!rambutans! and mangosteens! yummmy!
after this trip, i was thinking village is ideal for retirement but never now!
