The doorbell went crazy just now. Someone was pressing on it madly. Initially I thought it was my neigbour who has this odd habit of tearing down the doorbell and banging on the door.
The exact thing happened just now.
But this time, it was different.
We got a parcel! With a picture of a Sabaru on the envelope. This got my whole family really excited especially my dad. Haha. He always felt that he had everything except a car. He has no licence though.
The parcel was from reader digest, a huge brown box. My sis tore it open, revealing a coaster, a book, a photo-frame and a bill asking for payment of the book which she has rejected the offer previously but the book still came to her.
Reader Digest Marketing Department loves to “flood” subscribers with gifts even when they rejected them, like my sis. I don’t know what this is called but to me, it should be ” Persistent Marketing ” which I think will move perhaps 1% of the consumers? Definitely not my sis since she rejected the offers way before it arrives and the thing is that she has not gotten the freebie of a watch which she was promised 1 year ago upon subscription! (She can’t stand companies not delivery their promises) She emailed Reader Digest several times but they fell on deaf ears … I guess she is not persistent enough? Haha…
I kind of like Reader Digest as the information is useful and most importantly easily digestable! Most ideal for my train ride. Other than this, I am simply amazed by their never ending lucky draw letters and parcels that they never fail to continuously surprise us years after years.
“Once with Reader Digest, Forever Stuck”
Haha…
