Posted in UncategorizedGot an email from friend on 2009 public holidays. Personally I don’t like to get out of country during public holidays as you need to pay extra and squeeze with loads and loads of people.
I prefer off-peak.
Cheaper air tickets.Better deal on accommodations.
This is the big picture for those in corporate world.

Tuesday evening after my dinner @ Sakae Sushi @ West Mall, me and bear went to watch Ironman. I did not know what the movie was all about but since bear seemed to be talking about wanting to catch, I just followed.
I have this habit of falling asleep in movies. DUH I know, pay to sleep in cinemas? The environment in theatres made me sleepy sometimes, moreover after dinner. Food Coma.
I thought it was a Sci-Fic movie, eeeeek, totally not my cup of tea. I love to watch “blockblaster” (somewhat the word doesn’t seem right but you know what I mean, don’t you?) movies. Movies with a meaning. DUH DUH DUH, every movie has a meaning.
Anyway, I was expecting myself to sleep this time with no knowledge of what I am expecting.
I was wrong!
Ironman has a nice plot, easy to follow and I was totally blown away by the technology and the genius of that fellow. Tony! Starck Industry, the company manufacturing weapons.
Ironman has a meaning for me, “Everything is possible”
Totally amazing movie. 4 **** out of 5
You must watch it!
Posted in MoviesIt was a pleasant surprise when I received the email this morning. Initially, I thought it was again another of the spam mail which unfortunately sneak into my inbox. But, the sender’s name doesn’t look spammy so I opened up the email.
wow! I won a Coffee Card from Geek Terminal. That was cool and totally unexpected. It was a contest which I took part quite sometime ago. Simple content which needs me to write down where I drink my coffee and what type of coffee I like.
Totally awesome! Since I was at Chinatown running my errand, I thought market street, the location of Geek Terminal was simply nearby. Was told that Market St was somewhere near Chinatown but it wasn’t that near!
More of near Raffles Place. I walked and walked. I love walking so it’s fine. But I was like a lost sheep, with my young sister giving me directions over the phone.
Finally reached Geek Terminal. Cool place, I love the chair and ambience though it’s a little biz like . DUH, it’s right in the heart of CBD, just opposite Golden Shoe CarPark.
I did not what to expect about the Coffee Card until Danny, the founder? I guess signed and authorized that I am entitled to 1 5 8 11 cups of coffee! Cool!

Wanted to test out their coffee.
I was impressed when my cuppucino arrived.
Look!

I have never, never, never seen a coffee presented this way.
I love lots of sugar on my foam and the coffee beans are real solid. Man, you should go have a cup.
I do not know what they use to make the design but it takes sweet, complementing the taste of coffee.
I will be back! This time maybe a caffee Latte.
Cheers!
Posted in Cool SeriesI attended National Achievers Congress 2008 for the first time. I am someone who loves to attend self-improvement seminars as part of my learning programme. These seminars are great for re-charging, reminding me of what I need to do, keeping me realistic through listening to people who have been through the path and now sharing their experiences. The seminars also give me idea and ways to increase my personal development, my training aspect as well.
This time round, the trainers whom I was looking forward to are T.Harv Eker, Joe Girad, Blair Sing. T.Harv Eker is my teacher so I was really excited to hear him speak and at the same time, I took the chance to recap on the presentation skills he taught during “Train The Trainer” Programme. I was still simply amazed by the dynamics in his closing.
Blair Sing is closely associated with Rich Dad Poor Dad Advisor and his branding of salesdog. He taught me something memorable “Always Be Closing“. Bought 2 of his books. He is another very cool speaker who used different breeds of dogs in classifying type of people. I have heard about him mainly from T.Harv Eker and I have been listening to his audio programme on training. He shares similar style as T.Harv Eker.
Joe Girad is the man I truly respect and was totally amazed by his will in selling. Very enjoyable hours with him, throwing jokes around and performancing a really risky feat despite his age! He shares very real personal experience in term of the obstacles he went through and emphasized the importance of service as his main key to success. I will always remember what he taught ” One Step at a time”
Overall, I realize that all these successful people are normal beings with exceptional desire to be really successful so that they can contribute much much more in society through their experiences. All of them fell badly, some really badly but none of them submit to adversity. All the challenges faced by them are tests by the universal to see if they are up to the level they deserve.
Every speaker has taught me something. It is now up to me on how I use and apply the acquired knowledge learnt.
I have shared my thoughts, hope you like it.
