I’m so proud of myself! I ran almost 40 minutes today (non-stop)

Well, when I first started running, it wasn’t my intention at all. I thought of a 15-20 minutes run would suffice.

Allow me to share with you what happened along the way.

Getting myself down on the track wasn’t easy. But these were what I did:

I have to hoax my hungry stomach,

bluff my mind so that I can change and

get out without thinking much.

If you have the same problem, I would suggest that you do not think, put down everything, change into attire and just get there!

When I was jogging along the way, a girl in her College t-shirt overtook me. She doesn’t seem to look like a runner based on her legs. (I don’t have those kind of muscular runners’ legs too!) But she possess something like a runner, the perserverence to keep running.

She was pacing me. She was motivating me to run on even though she wasn’t aware.

We were running almost the same route when she made a right turn while I did a left.

The remaining part of my jog was fighting with my mind.

I challenge it to stop at a ridiculous point which I wanted to but thought I might not be able to make it.

I simply kept running and pushing myself.

Thinking back, I would think I was focused and wanted to prove to myself that I can achieve what I set out to do. Just like the 1st time I did my 10KM in 2004. It was just memorable.

It was a wonderful feeling of completing a 40 minute run on my own (together with that college girl)

Thanks!

I’m really happy today. I achieve so much.

Yesh! Keep up the good habit, aL!You’re on your way from FAT to FLAT (Stomach that is)

This has been my goal (unaccomplished) for many years.

Instead of getting a flatter stomach, it gets fatter! (See the huge difference in a missing ‘l’)

I have analyzed and came to a few conclusions why this is so:

I sit down immediately after I have eaten my meals.

I have been taking lots of drinks with high sugar content (I love Coke, Green Tea)

I have not been running regularly.

Having examined the reasons, I have decided to make some changes to my habits:

I will do anything (going for a walk) except sitting down right after meals (for at least 30 minutes)

I will reduce my intake of soft drinks instead I will drink more H2O and eat more fruits when I’m thirsty (That saves me money and saves me from Diabetes too! (My dad has diabetes so I think my chance of getting will be high)

I will run at least 3 times a weekly for at least 15 minutes. This will also prepare myself for the Standard Chart. 10KM run in less than 4 months time.

In fact, I have started making the changes since yesterday.

I gave 6 months to lose my belly fats before achieving a flat stomach.

I get my inspiration from Receipe for a Flat Stomach and many other useful articles from Zen Habits.

I just did a Google search on ‘How to get a flat stomach’ (1+million pageviews) and ‘How to lose stomach flat’ (5+million pageviews)

Shocked.

Have you successfully lost your stomach flat (without sit up or crunches)? I would love to hear from you. Leave me your comment!
