Is Your Jar Full?

I was playing with the Stumble Upon button when I came across this story ” Is your jar full?”

I have heard about this story when I was in Uni taking HRM course. In fact, one of my coursemates presented this concept to the class then.

Very meaningful.

Is Your Jar Full?
When things in your life seem almost to much to handle, when 24 hours in a
day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar……and the beer.

A Professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front
of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and
empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then
asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the Professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas
between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was
full. They agreed it was. Read more of this story here

I fall into this trap as well. Thinking that I have no time for this and that. In fact, my students are often giving me “no-time” as the number 1 excuse for not being able to complete homework.
At times, we realize each of us has an equal number of hours per day yet the amount being accomplished by each differs greatly.

It’s a matter of management to me.

“If I cannot, then I must”
