New Route For 2008 Standard Chartered Marathon

Update: Completed the run without stopping. 10KM took me 1:25:47 (Chip finish) and 1:29:44 (Gun finish)

I read the papers today and saw the route for 2008 Standard Chartered Marathon. I’m running the 10KM route. This should be my 4th year. Everything is perhaps the same except for the route.

I have never run this route before so it is a little panicky for me. The last 10KM run was in July I think, Shape Run. Nevertheless, I will enjoy the scenery and pace myself.

This shall be the last year for 10KM. Time to get out of comfort zone to meet new challenges and conquer them!

2nd half of the year is packed with running events! One after another. And for runners, the cost of running for the events can be a little strain on your pockets as it can easily add up to hundreds over dollars just on registration. Register Early For Shape Run 2008

Just received a mailer from Shape Magazine regarding the very popular women only run in July. It is so popular in my opinion due to the low registration price and the value in their goodie bags. This run is usually fully booked within 3-4 weeks after the launch. If you are interested, register early.

This year, they increase the registration fee from $20 to $30 (w/0 shape magazine subscription)

I am nevertheless going for this run as usual.
